I stumbled upon Luna’s blog today and decided to write her a song. The lyrics are based on a little poem she wrote about herself on her “about me” page. This song is brief, and I’m on the road—away from my recording equipment—so this is lofi and raw. But I think it suits the words. Thanks for being my temporary muse, Luna. Enjoy everyone. — K.C.
She said: “Hi, my name is Luna,
and I don’t like to grow up.
I love the macabre and the cute.
I like when the dirty turns sweet,
and when the sweet turns into you.”
Now I’m no Nabokov,
but you can be my muse.
Your hate and scars will be my fuel.
I like when you turn my dirty sweet,
and when the sweet turns into glue,
beneath my love,
beneath my poet thumb.
